SUCCESSIONS IN MILAN AND SUCCESSIONS IN RHO
For successions in Milan, research can be carried out using the Database.
For research on the statements of succession of Abbiategrasso, Legnano, Magenta and Rho, the respective inventories are published under letter U of the Archives and Inventories section of this website.

* N.B.: only in the event that the search of the series Successions in Milan involves paper inventories it is necessary to consider that many excessively heavy folders were further divided into two or more folders with the same name followed by a point and a number from 1 onwards. The new number is indicated in this list (PDF, 8085 KB): the first column, “Nuova numerazione cartelle ricondizionate” (“New numbering of reconditioned records”) indicates the folder number to request; the fourth column (“fascicoli nelle cartelle ricondizionate” - “files in reconditioned records”) indicates the numbers of the files contained in that folder. Example: folder no. 244 is now divided into 244.1 and 244.2; files from 1 to 59 are in folder no. 244.1; those from 60 onwards in folder 244.2. So, if you are looking for file no. 75, for example, you’ll need to ask for folder no. 244.2.
