The Archive may participate in education projects organised by other Institutions, subject to the availability of internal staff. A few projects in which the Archive has taken part:
- 2017 - As part of Milano Photo Week, the State Archive of Milan collaborated with DATA – Sharing Archives and DISCIPULA in the first edition of the artist workshop project “Replica. Archive and Visual Culture”. During the workshop, through the study and analysis of the photography archives of Bolognese composer Ottorino Respighi and orchestra director and Parma native Arturo Toscanini preserved in the State Archive of Milan, participating photographers and visual artists were guided by the artistic research collective DISCIPULA in the process of using archive documents as sources for the creation of new artistic projects, which were published in the resulting digital publication, available for free download: https://issuu.com/replica.data.discipula
- 2015-2016 - Project and national competition “Article 9 of the Constitution. Active citizenship to overcome the crisis through culture and historic and artistic heritage” promoted by the Directorate-General for the Promotion of Cultural Heritage - Centre for Museum and Community Education Services - Sed. Once again, the State Archive offers a themed visit entitled: “Waters and lands in the sources of the State Archive of Milan (Original papers and maps document landscapes and activities from the 15th to the 20th century. A large but fragile public cultural heritage that the Archive preserves, protects and promotes)” (go to record).
- 2015-2016 - Education project “The archive in class. Milanese stories and personalities through the centuries”, proposed by the Askesis Cultural Association as part of the initiatives included in the Milanosifastoria (9-13/11) project and culminating in a visitable virtual online exhibition. The State Archive contributed with a guided tour and a workshop.
- 2014-2015 - Project and national competition “Article 9 of the Constitution. Active citizenship to overcome the crisis through culture and historic and artistic heritage” promoted by the Directorate-General for the Promotion of Cultural Heritage - Centre for Museum and Community Education Services - Sed.
- 2013-2014 - Learning Week project: “Preserving, cataloguing… guidance on the Cultural Heritage and Assets professions” organised by AFOL - Metropolitan agency for training, career advice and employment (Via Soderini, 24 - 20146 Milan). The State Archive offered a guided tour.
