Visits to the Archive, which include an explanation of the collections or of selected documents, are free of charge and guided by a State Archivist or by an Assistant for Visitor Services and Supervision.
They are intended for groups of university students as part of courses or seminars coordinated by a professor, as well as for organized groups and associations. The topics to be covered during the visit may be agreed upon each time, based on specific educational and/or research needs.
It is essential to submit a visit request — well in advance — in order to arrange an appointment, exclusively by email to: as-mi@cultura.gov.it, indicating the estimated number of participants.
On the day of the visit, an exact list of participants must also be provided for security purposes. If this list is not submitted, the visit cannot take place.
For primary and secondary school students, visits are organized according to the ARCHImparo educational programme.
