Admissions 2022

Admissions to the School

To be admitted to the School, applicants must have a upper high school leaver’s certificate and pass an entrance exam.

Applications for the first year of the 2021-2023 course closed on 30 September 2021. Applicants should send a scan of the entrance exam application form complete with €16 tax stamp, in PDF format, exclusively via email to as-mi@cultura.gov.it, attaching a copy of an identity document.

The exam was held on 26 October 2021: applicants must show a valid COVID-19 GREEN PASS at the entrance to the institution before entering.

The exam consists of two tests.

Entrance exams must be passed with a minimum mark of 18/30 in each test.

A maximum of 30 students will be admitted. If more than 30 students pass the entrance exam, a ranking will be drawn up based on the marks from the two tests and the top 30 candidates will be admitted.

Audit students will only be admitted if less than 30 students are admitted and for as long as this number is not reached (form for 2021-2022).

Admission to the second year

Students that regularly attended the first year will have to register for the second year in September 2022, emailing the dedicated form complete with €16 tax stamp to the Secretary’s Office at as-mi@cultura.gov.it. The original form must be handed in during the first in-person lesson.

The direct admission to the second year of students who have taken a General Archivistics (9 credits), Palaeography (9 credits) or Diplomatics (9 credits) university exam, or an exam that includes Palaeography and Diplomatics (12 credits), is nonetheless subject to an assessment of the programme and the bibliography of the exams taken and the passing of the entrance exams (Latin translation and institutional history test) and conditional on the maximum number of students (30) not having already been reached. Also in this case, students may register for the second year entrance exam in September 2022, emailing the dedicated form complete with €16 tax stamp to the School Secretary’s Office at as-mi@cultura.gov.it. and attaching a copy of an identity document. The original form must be handed in on the day of the entrance exam.
